WANTED: a theft-deterrent solution for the pervasive computing world

چکیده
This paper presents a new theft-deterrent system called WANTED1. The system relies on credits and blacklists, with each protected device periodically requesting new credit in order to continue operating. The main features of WANTED are resistance to attacks, guaranteed privacy, and scalability. The client part is a hybrid system consisting of an untrusted software component and a trusted hardware component. This offers maximum flexibility, while keeping the hardware requirements low.

A context-sensitive dynamic role-based access control model for pervasive computing environments
Resources and services are accessible in pervasive computing environments from anywhere and at any time. Also, due to ever-changing nature of such environments, the identity of users is unknown. However, users must be able to access the required resources based on their contexts. These and other similar complexities necessitate dynamic and context-aware access control models for such environmen...
متن کاملA semantic-aware role-based access control model for pervasive computing environments
Access control in open and dynamic Pervasive Computing Environments (PCEs) is a very complex mechanism and encompasses various new requirements. In fact, in such environments, context information should be used in access control decision process; however, it is not applicable to gather all context information completely and accurately all the time. Thus, a suitable access control model for PCEs...

A fraud survey found that 75 percent of the 459 responding organizations experienced some form of fraud during the prior 12 month period [1]. The Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (ACFE) estimates 6 percent of revenues are lost due to theft by employees and that small businesses suffer disproportionate losses because of limited resources devoted to fraud detection [2]. Most employee thef...
